Five races were sailed on Saturday in steady rain with a shifty easterly wind, conditions which are much more challenging (and interesting) than the more usual westerlies. On Sunday there was a one hour postponement under a heavy overcast, while the fleet waited for a light westerly to come in.  Race 6 began with a Le Mans start off the beach, but was abandoned when the windward mark began drifting.  Racing continued in a moderate westerly, with sun and broken cloud.  We didn't get the great weather we have come to expect for this event, but excellent race committee work by Mike France and his team gave us an enjoyable regatta.
