News from the Builder - updated Tasar Parts

George Yioulos at West Coast Sailing has some updated parts available, including:

  • a new stainless gudgeon that allows full 90 degree rotation of the rudder in both directions
    • .
  • pintles that are welded more consistently and new hounds (not shown) that are more standard

  • new rotation stops machined out of aluminum (not waterjet cut) so the edges are smooth and the unit is a bit more durable.

  • a new machined aluminum mast step.

In addition, George is now a Holt Allen distributor, so he is importing the jib tracks and cars directly from the UK . Many of the block sizes have been shrunk on new boats, moving from Ronstan 40s to 30s, and the new Ronstan Orbit blocks are being used on the mainsheet and traveller. There is also a new lighter, smaller and tidier cunningham assemble.
