Notice of Race

Flights of Spring
Jericho Laser Fleet April 26 and 27, 2003

Rules and Regulations:  The current International Sailing Federation Racing Rules of Sailing and the prescriptions of the Canadian Yachting Association, as well as the rules of the eligible classes and this notice of race will govern the race. Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions and the requirements of the Vancouver Port Authority also apply while in any shipping channel or when encountering a vessel restricted in its ability to maneuver.

Eligibility: This regatta is open to 49ers, Tasars, and Lasers. (An X-Class will be considered where there is sufficient interest) Notice to Competitors and Changes to Sailing Instructions will be posted on the official notice board at the Jericho Sailing Center.

Registration: Registration will take place in the Sailors Lounge at the Jericho Sailing Centre, 1300 Discovery Street, Vancouver, BC V6R 4L9. Registration Fee is: $30.00 CAN for Single-handed boats, $60.00 CAN for Double handed boats

Racing;  Racing will take place on April 26 and 27, 2003. The first signal for the first start sequence on April 26 will be at 13:00hrs. More races to follow. The first signal for the first start sequence on April 27 will be at 11:00 hrs. More races to follow.

The Race Area: The race area shall be in English Bay, to the North West of Jericho Sailing Center.

Prizes Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 boats in each of the 49er, Tasar, and Laser Classes. There will be an award for top junior and top master in the Lasers.

Social: Saturday evening dinner is included in the price of Registration. Dinner will be at Kitsilano Yacht Club at 6 PM (1800). Additional dinner tickets are available at $15 each.
